Summer Fun

We recently got annual passes to Sea World - San Antonio and have been enjoying the water park for the last few weekends. Here are some pics of the kids playing in the water.

Ketchup

I've been really behind so I've added some "ketchup" posts with pictures from the last 3 months. I put the "correct" dates for each of them, so scroll past the Father's Day ones!

Here's a quick pic of Rachel feeding her baby doll.
Isn't that precious? Enjoy!

Father's Day 2009 - Continued

I just had to post a pic of our BBQ masterpiece. Brian got new BBQ tools (from The Pampered Chef of course!) and broke them in by grilling us some BBQ Bacon Ranch Cheeseburgers. They were to die for! I'm going to have to do step for 2 hours to work this off!

(You have to click on the picture to really see it in all it's glory.)

Father's Day 2009

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there.
You play an important part in the lives of your children and today is the day we say "thank you."

First to my own daddy - Thank you for always being there for me and for loving me. You are a great father. I know that your own father wasn't a part of your life, but you overcame that and always treated us with love and kindness (and me like a spoiled princess, but let's not get Heather & Beth mad.) I love you! Happy Father's Day!

And to my wonderful husband - Thank you for being such a great dad and the father of my children. I love you more than words can say and I love watching you grow and learn alongside me as we continue on this journey of parenthood. Thank you so much for loving me and our kids. Happy Father's Day!

And to my Brother-in-Law & Father-in-Law - Happy Father's Day!
To my beloved grandpa-I miss you and I'm thinking of you today too!

Playing in the Park

It was a nice day today, so we decided to take the kids to the park to play. They had a blast!

Easter 2009

The kids had fun hunting eggs and Rachel was just trying to figure it all out. Please ignore the grass that needs to be mowed so desperately!

Another of my Favorite Things

We all want to provide our children with the best and safest foods right? Well if you've also followed MckMama for a while, you know she's all about organic foods. Here is her post about how to eat organic foods without breaking the bank. Which leads into one of my favorite things - Fit Wash. People who are worried about pesticides on their fruits & veggies encourage others to wash them well with soap & water. I don't know why, but I have trouble doing this on a regular basis. Maybe I'm lazy or maybe I don't like the taste of soap, but I'm so glad I found Fit Wash.

I found it at Walmart near a display of apples one day & was intrigued by what I read. I didn't buy it that day, but I went home & did some research on the computer. Most organic junkies recommend the soap & water method, but I was really impressed with the scientific studies I found on the Fit Wash website. Also, Fit is endorsed and recommended by food experts everywhere. Fit is the only produce wash certified kosher by the Orthodox Union, Fit is the only produce wash certified vegan and approved by the American Vegetarian Association, Fit is approved by the Vegetarian Society for use on all fruits & vegetables and Fit is the only produce wash endorsed by the Metabolic Code Diet™ and recommended by Laura LaValle, RD, LD, chief clinical nutritionist at the LaValle Metabolic Institute.

I guess it comes down to safety & convenience. I want my food to be safe, and I love that I can keep this handy spray near my sink to quickly & effectivly sanitize my fruits & vegetables! So everyone, Get Fit!

**In no way have I been compensated for this review. I just like sharing my favorite things with you. And besides, I would totally tell you if I got stuff for free!**

Sean Goldman Is Going Home!

**Update** Another heartbreaking blow to this case, another judge overturned the decision that was to reunite Sean & David. For more updates here is the link to the official website.

Some of you may be familiar with the battle of New Jersy dad David Goldman to be reunited with his son Sean who was kidnapped by his mother a few years ago. The mother fled to Brazil with Sean & then when she died, custody was given to her BOYFRIEND not the boy's father! This story was featured on Oprah (where I saw it) and it compelled me to participate in the letter writing campaign to help bring Sean home. Well it finally worked!!! A Federal Judge in Rio De Janeiro issued an 80 page ruling on Monday 1 June, ordering the return of Sean Goldman to the United States in 48 hours. David left for Brazil Monday evening and will be reunited with Sean Today, June 3rd at 2:00 p.m. local time at the United States Consulate in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. I can't wait to see their reunion!
